The RIMA general Elections are on April 8th, 2019 in Room #23 at Rock Island High School at 6 pm, and new officers are needed to fill the roles officer slots. The Rock Island Music Association (RIMA) was formally incorporated as a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization on December 20, 1983. We are a non-profit organization whose mission is to: facilitate communication between the music faculty, parents, and the rest of the community; provide financial support for special projects; and build great spirit throughout the Rock Island/Milan School District’s music departments and our organization.
Any parent who has one or more students in Band, Choir, Orchestra, or Theatrical Music is an automatic member of RIMA. It doesn’t matter what grade your child is in, and there are no fees or dues to become a member. Teachers, friends, and members of the community who believe in the value of music education are welcome as well.
Here are just a few of the ways you can help RIMA accomplish its mission:
